Seattle area adventure day camp at Kitsap Forest Theater ★ Summer fun ★ Unplug your kids

Seattle and Kitsap area campers will delight in this outdoor summer program featuring art, singing, drama, play, hiking, exploring the forest, wildlife and creeks – and just plain fun. Our nature camps let young children play, explore and create at the beautiful Kitsap Forest Theater. If you are looking for outdoor summer activities for kids in the Puget Sound area, you have come to the right place!
Kitsap Forest Adventure Camps, where children's creativity and imagination bloom, are presented by The Mountaineers Players.
NOTE: If you are located in the Seattle area and would like your camper to experience a week of adventures out-of-doors in the forest in a fun and safe manner, please consider alternate ways of getting your campers to camp: carpools, camping, VRBO, Airbnb, working remotely in the area, etc. Many parents give us feedback that these camps are their camper's favorite camp and we have many campers who return year after year (or attend both weeks). Don't miss out!
Registration will be in mid-January 2026 - sign up for one or both weeks. Register early as camps fill to capacity.

Camp 1 (July 6 - 10) Anywhere Artist
Week 1: Whether you’re creating masterpieces with mud, crafting whimsical fairy hideaways from natural treasures, or diving into playful theater games on our magical outdoor stage, this week celebrates creativity in the forest. Campers will hike to Big Tree, explore along the creek, gather natural materials, and transform the woods into an ever-changing art studio. Step into our enchanted forest, breathe deep, and let your imagination soar.
Camp 2 (July 13 - 17) Forest Quest
Week 2: Step into a magical Hansel-and-Gretel–style quest that leads you through forest trails, creek-side explorations, and a special hike to Big Tree. Throughout the week, you’ll practice real wilderness skills like trail reading, basic first aid, shelter building, knot tying, and using natural landmarks to navigate—all while helping a bewildered (but very friendly) troll find the way home. Are you up for the challenge?
