Kitsap Forest Adventure Camp is a summer day camp that seeks to introduce children (grades K – 4th) to the joys of the beautiful forest and creek environments of the Kitsap Forest Theater, located outside of Bremerton. The camp activities include art, music, drama, play, hiking, and exploring the forest, wildlife and creeks of the Kitsap Forest Theater – all centered around the weekly themes (Flying High and Wild Things). Above all else, Adventure Camp is just plain fun. The camp runs for two weeks: July 8-12 and July 15-19 in 2024 and includes campers from the greater Seattle/Tacoma area and the Kitsap peninsula. There is an all camp family dinner and overnight on each Friday night.
Kitsap Forest Adventure Camp Lead Staff
Kitsap Forest Adventure Camp Lead Staff will help teach and lead the kids at Adventure Camp under the supervision and direction of the camp coordinator and camp director. The main duties of the lead staff are to help keep kids safe and captivated by the camp activities, to share a love and respect for nature and the Kitsap Forest Theater Property, and to interact with kids and supervise them as instructed during camp hours. Responsibilities will include leading songs, games, crafts and activities, providing support and encouragement for each camper, resolving camper conflicts, supervising activity transitions and behavior management and helping set-up and clean-up before and after camp.
Adventure Camp Lead Staff are directly responsible for keeping each youth in their group safe and facilitating a fun and rewarding summer camp experience. We are looking for leaders and role models who can take direction, share a love of working with children in a natural outdoor setting, and are responsible, creative and high energy individuals.

Kitsap Forest Adventure Camp Coordinator
This position has primary responsibility for the delivery of a safe, fun and educational adventure camp experience. The Kitsap Forest Adventure Camp Coordinator will plan and coordinate Kitsap Forest Adventure Camp with the volunteer camp director and camp committee. This will include taking the lead in planning curriculum and the camp schedule including activities, crafts and the order of the day. In addition, the Coordinator will delegate tasks and assign duties to counselors on a daily bases. The Coordinator is responsible for working with the Camp Director and volunteer committee members to solve any problems that arise during camp and field any concerns from parents.
Additionally, the Camp Coordinator works closely with the camp director to help ensure that volunteers and staff understand and follow Mountaineers Youth Policies and Procedures. We are looking for a strong leader who loves working with children in a natural outdoor setting, and is responsible, creative and energetic. In addition, the ideal candidate should be able to maintain patience with campers whilst having the presence to maintain an orderly schedule.
