Alexandre Dumas' swashbuckling adventure tale, The Three Musketeers, was adapted by Kenneth Robert Ballard and directed by Bob Nicholson. Ken Michels, choreographer and fight-master, also played D'Artagnon.
The staging featured a set of platforms at various levels. This allowed for sword fights up and down stairs, simultaneous action on several levels, and lots of running and leaping. In the ladder scene, which invariably drew the biggest audience reaction, D'Artagnon mounted a ladder from one platform and, with two actors steadying the base, was launched to a platform across the stage.
This show's cast included the youngest member: third-generation Player Tamas McCoy was born two weeks before the play opened.
The audience total for this production was 2,816.
